Box Of Courage #3

I am having the greatest time with these boxes of Courage! I allow myself one a week...this week it goes to a daughter of a friend who lives locally...I suspect it will arrive today and I'm excited about it. I don't know the recipient, I've never met her and this is sent anonymously so, once it's in the mail, it's NOT ABOUT ME!

Hugs to Paige

Hi all,
I'm writing to ask you to send some love and light to Paige, in Fairbanks AK. I haven't heard from her in awhile and I fear that the darkness of the far northern winter is taxing her power charge. Please take a moment to send her what you have available in the way of energetic COURAGE to get through the dark times.

I sent her this box about three weeks ago but don't know that it ever arrived.

Be well,
Connie

Epiphany Spirit Dolls

There was a big personal epiphany that came out of the Treasure Box project.  I was asked to host a craft table for Spirit Dolls and as most of you know, this filled me with some trepidation because I'd never made one in my life and didn't know where to begin.
So, I began with the Treasure Box.  There was so much inspiration there!  I knew we'd brought together a great many elements and there were all your wonderful gifts of completed works that stayed with the box.  And there were lots of cab faces, bits and pieces of wonderful fabric and ribbon. I offered to fly Griselda out here to help me, but alas, she was not available! What she did do was send me a huge number of cabs, and one perfect little packet of the pieces for an art Spirit doll.  It was as magical as you can imagine...as though she sent me a box of wisdom; that is how I received it.  Thank you, thank you Griselda for your gentle teaching methods. What an inspiration you are!

So the following photos are the epiphany: Beautiful girls and women creating beautiful works of art.  It was such a thrill to facilitate the process simply by showing up with a LOT of fabric, ribbon, scissors and glue!  I can't wait to do it again!  THANKS TO ALL YOU!  If you look closely you may see bits of your treasure box contributions in the dolls posted here.  I had intended for the doll to be below the face of the creator, but that didn't work out with uploading the photos...sorry about that!

Treasure Box Auction

Hi All,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying spring-like conditions! We had such a mild winter here in VA. It's becoming more like California than Virginia but I suppose this is just the stark reality of global warming. Sure, it feels nice now but....

My apologies for taking so long to post about the YWCA auction, which took place last Sat., the 15th. It was a wonderful event, The Vagina Monologues a huge hit and the completed Treasure Box brought $300.00. Being the last minute Lucy that I am, I was working away on the "box" part of the treasure box up til the last minute of course and can you believe I didn't take a picture of it???

The good news is that Sharon won the auction for the box and it sits just two doors down from me as we speak. As soon as my headache from all the red wine we drank last night clears, I'll head down there to snap photos of the most wonderful treasure ever created. Ok, Monica's Pink Artist Doll is darned wonderful too!

More to come....
Be well,
Connie

Treasure Box Book Cover

Hi all, I hope this finds you well and enjoying spring like weather like the kind we are having in Virginia.  The sky opened up last night after 1pm and healing, nourishing, magical water fell upon our house and home and river in massive quantities.  I was so moved by the sound of that much water falling on land so very thirsty for moisture.  It was a true gift to the universe and I feel heartened that the Great Mother is and will always heal herself with the nurturing that Father Sky is able to provide.
So, here's the book cover.  I'm so sorry I didn't work harder/faster to send it around. Once I stared with crystals, I couldn't stop until every circle on the front cover was adorned with a sparkle.  The spine features some beautiful findings from the treasure box itself...Joanne or Grace I think added those.
My last task is to find a pretty box big enough to hold all this.  I have a Playstation 3 box that even has a handle, but somehow it just doesn't feel right...unless I cover it with tissue paper and modge podge it...I don't know...any suggestions?
The auction is only 9 days away.  The following day is the class and I'm very nervous.  I plan to take lots of time next week preparing for that.  I will tell you what I learn, hopefully, it will include humility.  I make that my intention.
Love and light to you all,
Namaste`

Griselda Treasure

Greetings all,
I hope this finds you well and doing good work!  Monica, we know you are sewing like a mad woman and Paige may be whoopin on her husband or children cuz I think she's getting that cabin fever thing, poor dear.  I send you both bright white light to warm your tasks, triumphs and trevails.

Gris and I engaged in the T word that can't be said on Etsy cuz they don't like the T word cuz it kind of leaves them out and I completely understand that, but there are some trades that are meant to be beyond the realm of commerce and this is one of them.  The photo is what Gris sent me for the spirit doll class on the 15th.  Perhaps I can get a photographer to show you how it went, I'll at least photograph all the dolls that get made.
Griselda, your generosity is an inspiration and leaves me humbled.  I don't feel that the beads can even begin to hold the energy of all that you packed into a small priority mail box.  The cabs are absolutely stunning and just right for our purposed. Your energetic wisdom is received and I "get" now how this might go for me.  I haven't yet made my first doll, but I hope that will be this week.  When I look at those of yours that I've collected, I'm once again, inspired and humbled.

I'm looking forward to getting to the garage and starting to cut up old clothes for rags.  Thankfully I've got LOADS of yarn from my mad-scarf knitting days and am feeling under control with this new venture.  I don't know why I've been called to it but there are no mistakes and Divine intention is at work.
I send you all blessings of love.
Connie
